On Thursday, April 29, 2021, LifeNet Health recognized Whitman Hospital & Medical Clinics for its outstanding support for the gift of tissue donation. The hospital operating room unit received the OR of the Year Award, which is given to hospital partners to recognize operating room staff who have gone above and beyond the call of duty in accommodating our tissue recovery teams.

One tissue donor can help restore health to more than 150 patients in need. Community partners are an essential part of the donation process and are crucial to ensuring that a donor and their family’s final wishes to help others are honored.
