Financial counseling is available if you have questions about your hospital bill or are in need of assistance regarding payment of your bill. Please contact patient financial services at 888.292.8810.
We are happy to help you with your insurance claim by billing the insurance carrier directly and by assisting you in filling out required paperwork. We accept payment from Medicare, Medicaid, and most commercial insurance and contracted managed-care companies with the proper authorization.
An itemized statement will be sent to you upon request. A final bill will be sent to you after all your insurance payments have been made. A payment plan will need to be set up within 30 days of receiving your first statement.

Whitman Hospital and Medical Clinics cares for you and your healthcare needs regardless of your ability to pay. We are committed to working with you, on your financial needs related to your care. This includes, finding ways to make your care more affordable. WHMC offers financial assistance also known as Charity Care to our eligible patients who do not have the financial means to pay for their healthcare expenses. If you are having trouble paying for all or some of your health care expenses at one of our WHMC sites, we encourage you to talk with a Patient Account Representative about options to help you with these expenses.
We provide financial assistance to eligible patients on a sliding fee scale for medically necessary services. Our discounts range from 15% to 100% based on the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
How to apply
A patient seeking financial assistance also known as Charity Care must provide supporting documentation outlined in the “financial assistance application,” form unless WHMC indicates otherwise. The application form may be obtained as follows; online through our website, by calling, or by visiting our hospital or clinics.
